October Long Weekend River Cruise
Motor, Sail and Road Cruisers ALL Welcome

Confirming Bartender Club Support and Safety Vessell will be on the water and accompanying the fleet from and back to Maclean for any support required along the way and to assist with transfers to and from shore if required.
Any skippers wanting to join that have not already advised please do so by Wednesday 30th September.
All participants please complete either online registration and payment or complete paper sign on and payment at the club prior to the event.
All vessels will maintain radio contact via VHF Channell 72 over the weekend as we have skippers joining from various locations

This notice provides a heads-up on a switch relating to the planned activities in Lawrence :
The new plan is as follows…
Jim O’Keefe is to host a fully catered lunch (BYO Drinks) at his home at midday on Saturday 3 October (whereas this was to be a Potluck dinner on Sunday evening).
Following lunch Visit to Lawrence Museum between 1 and 4pm before we will take advantage of high water at 16:27 to sail on to Brushgrove.
What this change does mean however is an imperative to reach closure on final numbers to enable Jim to know precisely how many he needs to cater for. This is required by Wednesday 30th Sep ’26 at the latest although sooner the better please.
Sunday 4th of October :
On Sunday we sail to Ulmarra where we will lunch at the pub before returning to Lawrence for dinner at The Tavern.
Our entry into Lawrence is however governed by high water at 18:46. Given that it will be as much as 1.5m above chart datum, we believe it will be possible to get into Lawrence well ahead of high water.
It is incumbent upon skippers and others to also let the club have full crew details ASAP, and to indicate if they will be dining at the hotels en route…
Brushgrove Hotel – Dinner from 18.00 on Sat 3 Oct
Ulmarra Pub – Lunch on Sun 4 Oct from midday
Lawrence Tavern – Dinner on Sun 4 Oct from 6pm
Our Commodore advises that a motor yacht will be joining us over the weekend and can accommodate passengers on the river legs however this does not include overnight accommodation.
Reminder all intended crew or passengers on water vessels need to register either via the Port of Yamba Yacht Club Events page or via paper form and payment at the club. Sail Pass for non club members.

Notes for Skippers:
Be aware of Lawrence Ferry Cables
Carry sufficient fuel in the event of wind and tide turning against us.
Being a long weekend berths at Maclean, Lawrence, Brushgrove and Ulmarra pontoons may be in short supply so come prepared to raft up or anchor up.
If not already registered, please do so prior to departure and ensure any non-members have completed a Sail Pass.
